Early access

A load board extension that brings your TMS to the board

The FreightVero load board extension is designed to sit over boards like DAT One and Truckstop and show what your TMS already knows about a carrier. It’s in early access.

Concept illustration. The load board extension is in early access.

Status and trademarks

The extension is in early access and isn’t available to install. FreightVero has no partnership with DAT or Truckstop. DAT One and Truckstop are named here only to describe the kind of load board the extension is designed to run over. Direct DAT and Truckstop integrations are planned, with no release date.

The tab-switching problem in carrier sales

Carrier sales lives on the load board. A truck posts in the right lane for an open load, and the rep has two quick questions. Have we worked with this carrier before? Is their compliance status approved?

Answering means copying an MC number out of the board, pasting it into the TMS, reading the record, and flipping back to the board. Then doing it again for the next post. By the time the rep has the answer, another broker may already have the truck on the phone.

An extension can bring those answers to the posting itself. In FreightVero, the data already exists: carrier records with MC and DOT numbers, compliance status, and swap history on every load.

What the extension is designed to do

Design intent, not shipped features. Early-access brokerages help decide what the first version checks.

  • Carrier check on the posting Early access

Designed to read the MC number on a posting and show whether that carrier is in your FreightVero records, with its compliance status.

  • Your history with the carrier Early access

Designed to show how many loads you’ve run with the carrier and whether it has been swapped off any, using the swap history FreightVero already keeps.

  • Open loads nearby Early access

Designed to show your open loads near the posted truck’s location, so a rep can spot a match without leaving the board.

  • Start a carrier record Early access

Designed to create a new carrier record in FreightVero from a posting, so nobody rekeys the name and MC number.

  • Only your company's data Early access

Designed to show only your own FreightVero data, inside the same database-level company isolation the TMS uses today.

What it builds on, live today

  • Carrier records and search Live

Carriers stored with MC and DOT, searchable by name, MC or DOT.

  • Compliance status checkpoint Live

A load can’t reach Alerted unless the carrier’s compliance status is Approved.

  • Swap history Live

Every carrier swap keeps the old assignment and the reason it came off.

  • Row-level security Live

Every table filters data by the company that owns it.

What it won't do

The extension is designed to show the compliance status your own team recorded. It won’t verify operating authority, insurance or identity, so it isn’t a replacement for carrier vetting. Our freight fraud prevention guide covers what to check before you book an unfamiliar carrier.

It also isn’t designed to post loads, book carriers or send rate cons. Posting to load boards from FreightVero depends on the planned DAT and Truckstop integrations. Booking, rate confirmations and the checkpoints stay in the TMS, where the database enforces them.

Why an extension at all

A formal load board integration depends on an agreement and API access with each board. An extension is designed to work in the browser tab your rep already has open, next to the board, so carrier sales gets help sooner. The two aren’t either-or. Both are on the list.

How early access works

  1. Join the list

Tell us which load boards your carrier sales team works in and what they look up most often.

  2. Show us the workflow

We watch how a rep goes from a posting to a booked carrier, and count the tab switches.

  3. Test early versions

Early-access brokerages try the extension as pieces become ready and tell us what’s worth keeping.

Tell us which boards your carrier sales team uses and what they check first. That decides what the first version shows.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to use FreightVero to use the extension?

The extension is designed to show your own FreightVero carrier and load data next to a posting, so it assumes your carriers live in FreightVero. Brokers on another TMS can still join early access and tell us what they'd need from it.

Will the extension post my loads to DAT or Truckstop?

It isn't designed to post loads. Posting from FreightVero depends on DAT and Truckstop integrations, which are planned. The AI load posting agent is live. See AI load posting.

Which browsers will it run in?

We haven't announced supported browsers. Early-access brokerages tell us which browsers their carrier sales team uses, and that shapes what we build for first. Join the list below and include it in your note.

What will the extension cost?

Pricing isn't published yet, and we'll share it with early-access brokerages directly. For reference, broker TMS plans start at $349 per month with no per-load fees on any plan. See pricing.
