How we research, review and correct what we publish

FreightVero publishes product pages, comparisons, guides and a glossary for freight brokers. This page explains where our facts come from and what happens when we get one wrong.

Who writes our content

Pages are written by the FreightVero editorial team or by Ryan Butz, CEO and co-founder. Each page names its author and shows the date it was last updated.

We use AI writing tools to help research and draft. A person checks product claims, prices and regulatory facts against the sources below before a page goes live.

Where our facts come from

Our own product

Claims about FreightVero come from our build records and changelog. Every product, agent and integration carries one status: live, in development, early access or planned. If a feature isn’t live, the page says so. See the freight broker TMS page for how that looks in practice.

Regulations and industry facts

Regulatory facts are checked against primary sources at the time of writing, such as the FMCSA, the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations and the NMFTA. We link the source on the page. If we can’t verify a number, we leave it out. Worked examples with dollar figures are labeled as examples.

What our status labels mean

LabelWhat it means on this site
LiveDeployed and usable in the product today.
In developmentBeing built. Some parts may exist, but customers can’t use it yet.
Early accessOffered to a waitlist. We describe what it is designed to do, in future tense.
PlannedOn our roadmap with no working product yet.

Custom TMS development is a service, labeled live.

Competitor comparisons

FreightVero is our product, and we say so on every comparison, alternatives and best-of page. You should read those pages knowing who wrote them.

  • Prices come from each vendor’s published pricing page, checked on a stated date and shown as “as of” that date, with a source link. If a vendor doesn’t publish pricing, we say that.
  • Strengths are stated for every competitor, including reasons to choose them over FreightVero.
  • Review quotes are short, in quotation marks, and attributed to the review site they came from.
  • Unverified claims from forums and social posts aren’t used as evidence.

Our TMS comparisons follow these rules.

Updates and corrections

We update a page when a price changes, a product status changes, or a regulation it cites changes. The updated date moves when we do.

If you spot an error, contact us with the page, what’s wrong and a source if you have one. Vendors are welcome to send corrections to their own pricing or features. We check the claim, fix the page if we got it wrong, and update the date.

See your own loads run through the checkpoints.

Bring a real lane, a real rate con and your current process. We will walk it through FreightVero and tell you plainly what is live and what is not.
