Where EZ TMS is strong

EZ TMS used to be EZ Loader TMS. The old domain, ezloadertms.com, now redirects to ez-tms.com. The company calls its product “built by brokers, for brokers” and “the best kept secret in freight.”

  • Sales tools in the TMS. A built-in CRM and pipeline, market rates, a historical rate engine, live capacity, branded quoting and freight matching.
  • Carrier and document workflow. Digital rate cons, digital carrier onboarding, an email aggregator, a document splitter and a document-type predictor.
  • Back office. Automated batch invoicing, invoice and shipment audit, factoring connections, AR and AP, and two-way QuickBooks Online sync.
  • Simple pricing. The EZ TMS pricing page lists a $500/mo Standard Plan with 3 user seats, “Flat-rate. No per-load fees,” and no feature gates.
  • Room to add. An LTL portal with direct tariffs and a marketplace, and EDI 204, 210 and 214 through Bitfreighter, both as paid add-ons.

We couldn’t find EZ TMS on G2, Capterra or Software Advice, so there’s no third-party review data to quote. Its site shows customer testimonials, including one from a brokerage with “over 100 users.” FreightVero has no public reviews yet either. Our EZ Loader TMS alternatives page lists more options.

Where FreightVero is different

More seats at the entry price

EZ TMS Standard is $500/mo with 3 seats, and added users are priced per seat at a rate that isn’t published. FreightVero Starter is $349/mo for 5 users and 250 loads, and Growth is $749/mo for 15 users and unlimited loads. Neither vendor charges per load. See FreightVero pricing.

Contract terms, quoted

EZ TMS publishes its terms, which makes them easy to compare. Per its terms:

  • Setup is “a one-time setup fee of $1,500 (Fees waived for 12 Month agreement).”
  • “Absent an individual contract the term is month to month.”
  • Agreements renew for the same length unless either party gives notice “at least sixty (60) days before the expiration.”
  • Early termination carries “a buyout fee of 50% of the remaining contract value.”
  • Price increases take 60 days’ written notice.

Signing for 12 months saves the $1,500 setup fee, and leaving early costs half of what’s left on the contract. FreightVero’s contract terms are discussed on the demo call.

Checkpoints enforced at the database level, not a UI setting

Every FreightVero status change runs through one database function, and the status column is protected from direct edits.

  • Alerted: active carrier, approved compliance status on the carrier record, driver and truck details, tracking accepted.
  • Carrier Dispatched: latest rate con version signed, with the signed copy uploaded.
  • Freight On Board: BOL and freight photos.
  • Delivered: POD plus the signer’s first and last name.

We haven’t tested EZ TMS’s settings for required documents, so ask in the demo where that rule lives. See how FreightVero’s checkpoints work.

Custom builds and AI

FreightVero offers custom TMS development. The Bronco Logistics build went from its first database migration on Aug 28, 2026 to live Load Market tracking on Sept 3, 2026. On AI, FreightVero’s load intake is live and the AI agent program is live from $1,995/mo.

Switching from EZ TMS

  • Check your term and notice date. On a 12-month agreement, leaving early triggers the 50% buyout. Renewal notice is due 60 days before expiration.
  • Records. Customers and carriers import into FreightVero from CSV. There’s no open-load import.
  • QuickBooks. EZ TMS syncs two ways with QuickBooks Online. FreightVero’s QuickBooks Online integration is in development, so there’s no sync to use today.
  • Invoicing. FreightVero has a billing queue that checks each delivered load against that customer’s paperwork rules. Invoice sending is planned.
  • Sales tools. CRM, branded quoting and rate history have no FreightVero equivalent.
  • Integrations. DAT, Truckstop and RMIS are planned, not live.

We scope every move on a demo call and don’t publish an implementation timeline. The TMS migration page covers what to prepare.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I log in to EZ TMS after the name change?

As of September 10, 2026, the app still runs at portal.ezloader.app, even though the marketing site moved from ezloadertms.com to ez-tms.com. LinkedIn and the Truckstop partner marketplace still list the product as EZ Loader TMS, so you'll see both names.

What does EZ TMS charge for EDI?

EDI 204, 210 and 214 are an add-on through Bitfreighter, with monthly and setup fees. EZ TMS doesn't publish the amounts. If you exchange tenders, status updates or invoices with shippers by EDI, get that quote before you compare total cost. FreightVero's EDI is planned, not live.

Does EZ TMS use AI?

EZ TMS doesn't market AI agents. Its site lists a document splitter and a document-type predictor, which help sort incoming paperwork. FreightVero's AI load intake, which drafts a load from a rate con with the source text for each field, is in development and not yet usable.

Does FreightVero connect to QuickBooks Desktop?

No. There's no QuickBooks Desktop connection, and it isn't in development. The QuickBooks Online integration is in development. If your books run on QuickBooks Desktop, plan to keep your current accounting process when you move your load workflow.
