Carrier sales
Cover the load, send the rate con, and let the checkpoints catch what you missed
Carrier sales moves fast and mistakes cost real money. FreightVero requires an approved carrier, a signed latest rate con, and driver and truck details before a load moves forward.

Covering freight is a phone job with a paperwork tail
A carrier sales rep’s day is loads to cover and a phone that doesn’t stop. Carriers call on posted loads. You check the MC, look at their compliance status, and work the rate.
Once you agree on a number, the real work starts. Send the rate con. Get it back signed. Collect the driver’s name, phone, and truck and trailer numbers. Get tracking accepted before pickup.
Then the carrier falls off at 5 a.m. and you do it all again with a new truck. The old rate con is still sitting in someone’s email, and nobody wrote down why the first carrier backed out.
That’s also where double brokering slips through. A rushed rep books a carrier whose paperwork was never checked, because the load had to move.
How FreightVero backs the rep up
A load can’t reach Alerted until the carrier record has an approved compliance status and the driver and truck details are in. It can’t reach Carrier Dispatched until the latest rate con version is signed. When the rate changes after signature, the new version needs its own signature.
The rep still makes the call. The database makes sure the steps happened. Our carrier onboarding guide covers what to check before a carrier’s first load.
What carrier sales gets in FreightVero
Live features first. Early access and planned items are labeled.
Compliance status before Alerted Live
The first checkpoint requires an approved compliance status on the carrier record, plus driver and truck details.
Versioned rate cons Live
Rate confirmations on your company letterhead and terms, carrying the carrier’s times. Change the rate and a new version is created. Old versions can’t be edited or deleted.
Signed copy on the load Live
Upload the signed rate con to the load. Dispatch waits for the latest version to be signed.
Fall-offs with a paper trail Live
A carrier swap asks for a reason, keeps the old assignment, voids the old rate con, and steps the load back.
Carrier records by MC Live
Find carriers in your own records by MC number. On Growth and Scale, import your carrier list from a CSV file.
Alert before pickup Live
A load with pickup coming up and no signed rate con raises an alert that says dispatch will be blocked.
Carrier sales and load posting agents Live
Cal drafts the first reply to a carrier and Poe writes the posting for every uncovered load, with a person approving what they draft. The load board browser extension is in early access.
DAT, Truckstop, RMIS and MyCarrierPackets Planned
Load board posting and carrier compliance monitoring connections are planned. None are built today.
Every rate con version, on the load
The documents list keeps each rate con version next to the signed copy, the BOL and the freight photos. When a carrier disputes a rate, you can see which version they signed.
Versions can’t be edited or deleted. If a carrier falls off, their rate con is voided and stays on record.
- Latest version signed before Carrier Dispatched
- New signature required when the rate changes
- Private storage with expiring links

Frequently asked questions
Can carriers sign rate cons inside FreightVero?
Not today. FreightVero generates the rate con, and the signed copy is uploaded to the load as a document. Signing inside the product is planned. Dispatch still requires that the latest version is signed, so a rate change after signature needs a fresh signed copy.
Does FreightVero check carrier authority or insurance for us?
No. You record the carrier's compliance status on the carrier record, and the first checkpoint won't pass without an approved status. RMIS and MyCarrierPackets connections are planned. FMCSA authority lookups are not built. See RMIS for the plan.
Can we post loads to DAT or Truckstop from FreightVero?
Not yet. DAT and Truckstop integrations are planned. The load posting agent is live. The load board browser extension is in early access. Until those ship, reps post loads on the boards directly. See DAT for the current status.
