Early access

A carrier TMS for small fleets, in early access

FreightVero Carrier TMS is designed for small fleets that haul for brokers. It’s in early access, and it’s being built on pieces already live in our broker TMS.

Where Carrier TMS stands

Carrier TMS is in early access. It isn’t generally available, and there’s no carrier plan on the pricing page. On this page, items marked live come from the FreightVero broker TMS, which runs in production today. Everything else describes what Carrier TMS is designed to do.

Who it's for

Carrier TMS is aimed at small fleets and owner-operators, the kind of operation where one or two people book loads, dispatch drivers, chase PODs and get the invoice out. Broker customers send rate cons. Drivers need the right appointment time. The paperwork has to line up before anyone gets paid.

Plenty of trucking dispatch software already exists. We’re building this one because the rules we enforce for brokers matter just as much on the carrier side. A truck shouldn’t roll on an unsigned rate con, and a load shouldn’t be called delivered without a POD.

Built on parts that are already live

These run in production in the FreightVero broker TMS today. Carrier TMS is designed to reuse them.

  • Checkpoints enforced in the database Live

In the broker TMS, a load can’t reach Carrier Dispatched without a signed rate con, or Delivered without a POD and the signer’s name.

  • Document storage Live

Rate cons, BOLs, freight photos and PODs stored on the load in private storage with expiring links, including iPhone HEIC photos.

  • Load Market tracking Live

Tracking requests to the driver’s phone, ETA checked against the appointment, and a flag when tracking goes quiet for 45 minutes.

  • Multi-stop loads Live

Appointments or windows on every stop, with the time zone set from the address.

  • Append-only audit log Live

Who changed what and when, with before and after values that no one can edit or delete.

Built on the checkpoints already running in production

Carrier TMS is designed around the same database-enforced checkpoint engine that runs in the FreightVero broker TMS today. These are the live broker TMS rules it starts from.

  1. Checkpoint 1

    Alerted

    Carrier locked in

    • Active carrier assignment
    • Approved compliance status on the carrier
    • Driver and truck recorded
    • Tracking accepted
  2. Checkpoint 2

    Dispatched

    Paper matches the deal

    • Latest rate confirmation version signed
    • A rate change after signature needs a new signature
  3. Checkpoint 3

    Freight on board

    Proof it left

    • BOL uploaded
    • Freight photos uploaded
  4. Checkpoint 4

    Delivered

    Proof it arrived

    • POD uploaded
    • Signer's first and last name

What Carrier TMS is designed to do

Design intent, not shipped features. Early-access fleets help decide what comes first.

  • A dispatch board for your trucks Early access

Designed to show each truck and driver, the load it’s on, and what’s next, in one view.

  • Loads from broker rate cons Live

Uses FreightVero’s AI intake engine, which reads the rate cons brokers send and drafts a load for you to confirm. The intake engine is still in development.

  • Checkpoints for carriers Early access

Designed so a load can’t roll without the signed rate con or close without a POD, using the same database rules as the broker TMS.

  • Driver tracking and paperwork Early access

Designed to send tracking through Load Market and collect BOLs, freight photos and PODs on each load.

  • Paperwork ready before you bill Early access

Designed to check that each load has the documents your broker customer needs before you invoice or send it to your factoring company.

What we don't have yet

There’s no FreightVero driver app. Drivers accept tracking in Load Market on their own phone. Carrier TMS doesn’t include ELD integration, fuel tax reporting, maintenance or driver settlements today, and we won’t put dates on those. If one of them is a must-have, say so when you join early access.

If your fleet needs software shaped around one specific way of running trucks, and you’d rather not wait, look at custom TMS development. And if you’re weighing what a carrier TMS should cover at all, our guide to transportation management systems breaks down carrier, broker and shipper TMS types.

How early access works

  1. Join the list

Tell us your fleet size, the brokers you haul for, and what you use today to dispatch and invoice.

  2. Talk it through

We walk through how a load moves in your operation, from rate con to payment, and where it breaks.

  3. Try the early pieces

Early-access fleets are the first to use Carrier TMS pieces as they become ready, and tell us what to fix.

Frequently asked questions

Is FreightVero Carrier TMS available now?

No. It's in early access, with no general release date. The broker TMS is live, and Carrier TMS is designed to reuse its checkpoints, document storage and Load Market tracking. Join early access to hear when there's something to try.

Can a carrier use the FreightVero broker TMS in the meantime?

The broker TMS is built around a broker's work: customers, carrier booking, carrier rate cons and billing a shipper. It isn't set up to manage your own trucks and drivers. If you need something built to your fleet's workflow now, look at custom TMS development.

Will Carrier TMS include a mobile app?

There's no FreightVero mobile app today, and a mobile app is on our planned list without a date. Drivers accept tracking requests in Load Market on their own phone, the same way they do on broker loads in FreightVero now.

How much will Carrier TMS cost?

Pricing isn't published yet. We'll share it with early-access fleets directly. For a sense of how we price, broker TMS plans start at $349 per month with no per-load fees. See pricing.
