Short answer
Rose Rocket, now branded TMS.ai, starts at $2,080/mo with unlimited users and AI agents included (as of September 10, 2026). Carriers and hybrid fleets can compare Alvys ($3.95/load) and McLeod. Brokers can compare Port TMS ($375/mo for 5 users), Tai TMS ($995/mo) and FreightVero ($349/mo). Enterprise 3PLs can compare Turvo ($5,000/mo).
Rose Rocket at a glance
Rose Rocket is a Toronto-based cloud TMS that calls itself “The Anti-Templated Transportation Platform.” It launched the TMS.ai brand in February 2025, and its Capterra listing now reads TMS.AI. CEO and co-founder Justin Sky leads the company, a Y Combinator alum that raised a $25M Series A in 2021 and a $38M Series B in 2023. Rose Rocket claims 1,200+ logistics companies and $2.7B in freight processed in 2024.
It sells to carriers (from 2 to 2,000+ trucks), brokers, 3PLs and shippers with assets. The platform covers orders, quotes, dispatch, driver management, track and trace, freight audit and pay, invoicing, BOL generation, a customer portal, appointment scheduling, EDI, and HOS, DOT and FMCSA compliance monitoring. No-code “Builders” add custom fields, objects, boards and automations. Named integrations include DAT, Truckstop, RMIS, Samsara, Motive, Geotab and QuickBooks.

The Full Service Platform is “Starting at $2080/month,” as of September 10, 2026. That includes unlimited users, custom fields and automations, all AI agents, order to invoice workflows, 40+ integrations, mobile apps and white-glove implementation, with “Guaranteed go-live in 90 days.” Enterprise is custom and adds SSO, custom SLAs and unlimited API access. The implementation fee and contract length aren’t published.
AI agents
Rose Rocket includes its agents on every plan. TED turns customer emails and attachments into orders and came out of beta after Rose Rocket bought Centro in September 2025. Rosie answers questions about a record, and Rocky builds workflows and handles SOPs. Agents work inside Rose Rocket.
What reviewers say
Rose Rocket rates 4.4/5 on Capterra from 35 reviews, with 4.6 for customer service (as of September 10, 2026). One reviewer wrote “Customer service has been the one of the biggest assets,” and another that “Order booking has saved the company employees and money.” On the critical side, a reviewer wrote “Integration between other system is still being developed and has been a slow progress,” another said reporting “doesn’t give your flexibility to create reports,” and one compared the “e-credit system” to a “mobile game microtransaction.”
Why teams look for Rose Rocket alternatives
People searching Rose Rocket pricing and reviews are often mid-evaluation. The reasons they widen the search are consistent.
- Entry price. $2,080 a month is a lot for a five-person brokerage, even with unlimited users. Smaller teams compare flat plans under $1,000.
- Breadth they don’t need. Rose Rocket serves carriers, shippers, brokers and 3PLs, and is moving up-market with “Build Your ERP. Your Way.” A pure broker may not need driver apps or HOS compliance.
- Reporting and integrations. Both show up in Capterra complaints. Buyers with specific reporting needs test them early.
- Agents inside one TMS. Rose Rocket’s agents run inside Rose Rocket. Teams that want to keep another TMS and add agents look at agent-layer vendors instead. Our guide to AI agents for freight brokers covers that split.

FreightVero: broker-only TMS from $349/mo with rules in the database
FreightVero is our product. We list it first and label each feature by status.
Best for: Freight brokers who want a broker-only TMS that blocks missing paperwork, and who would rather pay $349 to $749 a month than $2,080.
Starting price: Starter $349/mo (5 users, 250 loads a month), Growth $749/mo (15 users, unlimited loads), Scale from $1,500/mo (unlimited users), as of September 10, 2026. No per-load fees on any plan. Details on the pricing page.
Strengths
- Four checkpoints are enforced in the database. The latest rate con version must be signed before dispatch, a BOL and freight photos before Freight On Board, and a POD with the signer’s full name before Delivered. See how checkpoints work.
- Live today: load board, multi-stop load entry, carrier booking with swap history, versioned rate cons on your letterhead, Load Market tracking with ETA risk colors, alerts, tasks, messages, billing queue, reports and an append-only audit log.
- Custom TMS development is also on offer for teams whose workflow doesn’t fit a template. The Bronco Logistics build went from its first database migration on Aug 28, 2026 to live Load Market tracking on Sept 3, 2026. About custom builds.
Drawbacks
- New, with one design-partner customer and no review history.
- Agents work in writing, not voice. AI load intake and all seven agents are live, from $1,995/mo.
- No driver app, customer portal, EDI or SSO. The customer portal is in early access, and EDI and SSO are planned.
FreightVero is not the right pick if you run trucks and need driver apps, HOS compliance monitoring or AI agents working on day one. Rose Rocket covers those now. See FreightVero vs Rose Rocket.
Alvys: carrier and hybrid TMS priced per load
Best for: Carriers and asset-based brokerages that want a driver app, IFTA and settlements with unlimited users.
Starting price: “Starts at only $3.95/load” with a custom quote, as of September 10, 2026 (Alvys pricing).
Strengths
- Carrier depth: driver mobile app, IFTA reporting, maintenance, and driver, agent and carrier settlements.
- 120+ integrations “at no extra cost” and no long-term contracts.
- Foundry agent builder with more than 20 templates, rolling out in cohorts since August 2026.
Drawbacks
- A Capterra reviewer reported “Frequent crashes and glitches significantly hinder productivity.”
- Another cited “Syncing issues with QuickBooks Online (QBO).”
- Pricing tiers aren’t published, so per-load costs at your volume need a quote.
Port TMS: AI agents included at a much lower entry price
Best for: Brokers and 3PLs that like Rose Rocket’s agents-in-the-TMS approach but need a smaller monthly bill.
Starting price: $375/mo for 5 users (Pro) or $750/mo for up to 12 users (Growth), as of September 10, 2026 (Port TMS pricing). EDI, API and onboarding fees may apply.
Strengths
- Coverage, Procaller and Dispatch agents are shipping now, described as “Not a roadmap item.”
- Multimode quoting across TL, partial, LTL and intermodal, plus one-click DAT and Truckstop posting.
- Customer and carrier portals and e-signatures on rate cons and BOLs.
Drawbacks
- Agents are free for 3 months, then priced in the proposal.
- Only 6 Capterra reviews, so there’s less public feedback to check.
- No carrier TMS or driver-side features.
Tai TMS: broker-only TMS with LTL depth
Best for: Brokers and 3PLs moving FTL, LTL and drayage who want direct LTL carrier connections.
Starting price: $995/mo on Growth (2 staff logins, 200 shipments), $2,465/mo on Premium (6 logins, 600 shipments), as of September 10, 2026 (Tai pricing). Higher tiers run to $7,925/mo, and overages apply.
Strengths
- Direct LTL carrier API and EDI connections. A Capterra reviewer wrote “The LTL functionality is fantastic.”
- Track & Trace voice agent “Included for all Tai customers,” plus email quote extraction and invoice audit.
- Every tier includes a branded client portal, a dedicated CSM and QBRs.
Drawbacks
- Descartes bought Tai on August 24, 2026 and also owns Aljex. Roadmap and pricing plans aren’t public.
- Terms say the agreement will “auto-renew in perpetuity,” with 60 days’ notice to cancel.
- A Capterra reviewer wrote “Too many bugs with slow support resolution.”

Turvo: collaboration-first TMS for enterprise freight
Best for: Enterprise 3PLs, brokers and shippers that need shared visibility with customers and partners.
Starting price: “Starts at $5,000 / Month” for the Plan, Execute and Settle Freight tier, as of September 10, 2026 (Turvo pricing).
Strengths
- Onboarding manager, virtual training and data migration are included.
- Collaboration and visibility across shippers, carriers and brokers. Turvo powers RyderShare.
- A G2 reviewer praised “time-saving document generation.” G2 rating: 4.4/5 (20 reviews).
Drawbacks
- The $5,000 floor is more than double Rose Rocket’s entry price.
- One G2 reviewer cited a “1+ year long onboarding.”
- AI comes through a partner, Augment, and contract terms aren’t public.
McLeod Software: enterprise depth for carriers and brokers
Best for: Established carriers and brokers that need LoadMaster or PowerBroker, integrated accounting, EDI and hosting choices.
Starting price: Not published, as of September 10, 2026 (McLeod Software).
Strengths
- Founded 1985, founder-owned, with a claimed 96% customer retention rate.
- On-premise, customer-hosted cloud or McLeod-hosted cloud.
- More than 260 integrations. A Capterra reviewer wrote “You can pretty much run any report you need.”
Drawbacks
- LoadMaster rates 3.7/5 on Capterra (16 reviews). One reviewer said “The interface seemed very outdated.”
- Another wrote “It is very very expensive.”
- No published pricing or implementation timeline.
How to choose a Rose Rocket alternative
Rose Rocket is strongest when one system has to serve trucks, brokerage and customers. Use that as the dividing line.
- If you run assets, compare Alvys and McLeod on driver settlements, compliance and driver apps.
- If you’re broker-only, compare Port TMS, Tai TMS and FreightVero. Price each at your seat count and monthly shipments.
- If you’re an enterprise 3PL, compare Turvo and McLeod on implementation time and total first-year cost.
- Separate AI you can use today from AI on a list. Ask each vendor to run an agent on one of your real emails or loads during the demo.
- Ask for the contract early. Rose Rocket, Turvo and McLeod don’t publish contract terms, and Tai’s terms auto-renew.
