QuickBooks Online integration for freight brokers, in development
The connection to QuickBooks Online is built. Invoice and carrier bill sync come next, and QuickBooks Desktop is not supported yet. Here’s exactly where the integration stands.
Short answer
QuickBooks is Intuit’s accounting software, widely used by small businesses, including freight brokerages and trucking companies. Brokers use it for customer invoices, carrier bills and financial reports. FreightVero’s QuickBooks Online integration is in development: the secure connection is built, and invoice and bill sync are not.
How it fits the load workflow
In a brokerage, a delivered load becomes two accounting entries: an invoice to the customer and a bill from the carrier. Keying both into QuickBooks by hand is where amounts get transposed and loads get billed twice, or not at all.
The FreightVero TMS already puts every delivered, unbilled load in one billing queue, checked against that customer’s paperwork rules. Each load is billed under the customer rules in force when it was booked. The QuickBooks Online integration is planned to pick up from there, so what leaves the billing queue lands in your books once. Billing staff get their own role in the FreightVero TMS, next to Admin, Operations and Sales.
What’s built today is the connection itself: connecting a QuickBooks Online company, testing it and disconnecting it. Connection tokens are held outside the regular database tables, so a database backup contains no tokens. No invoices or bills sync yet, and the integration needs Intuit’s approval before it can run for customers. For the bigger picture on billing, see freight billing.

Frequently asked questions
Does FreightVero work with QuickBooks Desktop?
Not yet. The integration in development is for QuickBooks Online, and a Desktop export has been proposed but isn't built. Intuit stopped selling Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus and Mac Plus to new US subscribers after September 30, 2024. Enterprise is still sold.
Is FreightVero freight broker accounting software?
No. FreightVero is a broker TMS with a billing queue. It has no general ledger, receivables or payables. QuickBooks stays your books of record, and the integration is designed to feed it from the loads your team already worked.
Can FreightVero send invoices to customers?
Not today. Invoice sending isn't built in the TMS. The billing queue shows which delivered loads are ready to bill and which are still missing paperwork under that customer's rules.
When will QuickBooks Online sync be live?
We don't have a date to give. Sync depends on finishing invoice and bill mapping and on Intuit's app approval. We'll confirm the current status on a demo call, and we'll say so plainly if it has slipped.
