Planned
RMIS carrier onboarding integration: planned, not built
RMIS onboards and monitors carriers for brokers. A FreightVero integration is planned so RMIS results update the carrier record. Today, your team sets compliance status and the checkpoint enforces it.
Short answer
RMIS (Registry Monitoring Insurance Services) is a carrier onboarding and compliance service owned by Truckstop. Brokers use it to register carriers, collect insurance certificates and monitor carriers against their own compliance rules. An RMIS integration for the FreightVero TMS is planned and not built. Today, compliance status is set on the carrier record.
How it fits the load workflow
Carrier compliance is part of the first checkpoint in the FreightVero TMS. Before a load can move to Alerted, the carrier needs an approved compliance status on its record, along with an active carrier assignment, driver and truck details and tracking accepted. See how checkpoints work.
Today your team records that status on the carrier record. The checkpoint enforces it in the database, so no load moves forward with a carrier whose status isn’t approved. What’s missing is the automatic part: RMIS onboarding results and insurance changes updating the carrier record without someone copying them over.
The planned RMIS integration is meant to close that gap. Until it exists, don’t treat FreightVero as carrier monitoring. Keep using your onboarding provider and keep the status on each record current. Our carrier onboarding guide and freight fraud prevention guide cover the process around it.
Truckstop acquired RMIS in 2021. FreightVero has no partnership with Truckstop or RMIS.

Frequently asked questions
Does FreightVero monitor carriers through RMIS today?
No. The integration is planned and not built. The compliance status on each carrier record is set by your team, and the checkpoint enforces whatever that status says. FreightVero doesn't look up carrier authority with FMCSA either.
What is an RMIS carrier packet?
It's the onboarding packet a carrier completes through RMIS for a specific broker: company and contact details, insurance certificates, and the broker's own requirements, such as a signed carrier agreement. Each broker sets its own rules. See our carrier packet definition.
Who owns RMIS?
Truckstop announced its acquisition of RMIS on March 22, 2021, and RMIS now sits in Truckstop's carrier onboarding and monitoring products. A Truckstop load board integration is planned separately, and neither connection is built yet.
Can I bring my carriers into FreightVero now?
Yes, through CSV import, which is live for carriers and customers. A spreadsheet export of your carrier list is the current route in. Compliance status still has to be set on each record until an onboarding integration exists.
