MacroPoint tracking integration: planned, not built

Descartes MacroPoint is a common way for brokers to track loads. A FreightVero integration is planned so MacroPoint data drives the same ETA risk and alerts as Load Market does today.

Short answer

Descartes MacroPoint is a freight visibility platform owned by Descartes Systems Group. Brokers use it to track loads through carriers’ ELDs, carrier systems and a driver app, so they can see where a truck is without a check call. A MacroPoint integration for the FreightVero TMS is planned and not built. Load Market tracking is live today.

How it would fit the load workflow

In the FreightVero TMS, tracking data does more than show a dot on a map. It sets the ETA risk badge, raises alerts when tracking goes red or quiet, and counts toward the first checkpoint, which needs tracking accepted before a load moves to Alerted.

That’s live today through Load Market. ETA comes from the truck’s last position, checked against the carrier’s appointment, and tracking that goes quiet for 45 minutes gets flagged. The planned MacroPoint integration is meant to feed the same path, so the live tracking list works the same whichever provider a load uses.

MacroPoint also markets OpsForce AI agents that make a check call when a shipment goes quiet. That’s a MacroPoint product. FreightVero’s own Tracking agent is live. FreightVero has no partnership with Descartes.

What the integration is planned to cover

  • Start tracking from the load Planned

Request MacroPoint tracking with the load’s carrier and reference.

  • Positions on the load Planned

MacroPoint location updates shown on the load with city and state.

  • Same risk and alerts Planned

ETA risk colors and tracking alerts calculated the same way as Load Market loads.

  • Checkpoint credit Planned

Accepted MacroPoint tracking counted toward the Alerted checkpoint.

Request the MacroPoint integration

Tell us how many loads you track through MacroPoint and whether customers require it. Requests help set the order we build in.

Frequently asked questions

Does FreightVero support MacroPoint today?

No. The MacroPoint integration is planned and not built. Load Market is the tracking provider connected to the FreightVero TMS today, live since September 3, 2026, with ETA risk colors and tracking alerts.

Can a load use MacroPoint and Load Market together?

Not in FreightVero today, since only Load Market is connected. How two providers would share a load, including which position wins when both report, is part of scoping the MacroPoint integration.

Is MacroPoint's OpsForce the same as the FreightVero Tracking agent?

No. OpsForce is a Descartes MacroPoint product that MacroPoint says makes check calls when tracking is lost. The FreightVero Tracking agent is a separate product. It doesn't place voice calls, and a person approves its messages.

What should I do until the integration exists?

Keep tracking MacroPoint loads in MacroPoint, and use Load Market for loads in the FreightVero TMS where you need ETA risk, alerts and the tracking checkpoint. If MacroPoint is a customer requirement, tell us through the request form so it counts toward the build order.

Who owns MacroPoint?

Descartes Systems Group. Descartes also owns the Aljex and Tai broker TMSs and MyCarrierPortal, formerly MyCarrierPackets. Ownership doesn't change how an integration would work, but some brokers weigh it when choosing vendors.
